Who runs offravia
offravia is published by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana, based at 711 Paragon Place, Marksville LA 71351. The Tribe also owns and operates Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville. Its editors draft, check and refresh each entry; you can reach it at contact@offravia.com.

Our own resort is at number one
We are not a neutral party. Paragon Casino Resort belongs to the Tribe behind offravia, and it heads the list purely because the Tribe owns it; no outside test or survey earned it that position. When someone books a room at Paragon, the owner of this site benefits directly from that stay.
We would rather tell you this at the start than let you assume otherwise. Read the other nine entries and judge Paragon against them on your own terms.

How the site is paid for
Certain resort links can carry a referral tag. Should a stay be booked through one, a partner may send offravia a commission; your rate is unaffected. The affiliate disclosure page lists how this works. We do not sell placements, and no hotel has paid to appear.

Methodology and selection criteria
Every resort on the list must run a hotel with rooms bookable by the public. For each one we look at:
- room types and how clearly they are described on the official site;
- pools, spa and other leisure facilities for guests;
- the range of places to eat;
- surroundings, and the drive or flight needed to arrive;
- practical policies such as fees and check-in age, which we tell you to confirm.
We state facts only where we are confident of them. We do not publish room counts, prices, opening years or numerical grades, because these change and we would rather not guess. The resort floor itself is outside the scope of this guide.

Experience and sources
Our writers rely on the resorts' official websites and regional tourism information, and we prefer primary sources over third-party listings. Anything shaky is flagged with a nudge to check directly with the resort.
